Days before the start of the cherry blossom, Nijo castle is bathed in shades of orange and pink. As night falls, the castle walls, which have seen the Shogunate rise and fall, become the canvas for installations of flower petals and animals.
上賀茂神社 – Kamigamo jinja
Right around the corner of my home: one of the oldest Shinto shrines of Kyoto! Together with the Shimogamo shrine, it was thougt of protecting the city from evil flowing on the Kamo river. Look forward to seeing the other „guardian“ soon!
